1. When are leaf bags collected?

The collection of bagged leaves begins the third Monday in October and ends three days before Christmas. After this time only three bags are collected with each weekly trash cart collection until all bags are gone. More information can be found here. (insert link)

4. Who is responsible for maintaining or replacing the sidewalk in front of my home/business?

Per City of Springfield Ordinance Section #16-302, the adjacent property owner of a lot or lots is responsible for maintenance and/or replacement of the sidewalk. The City of Springfield may from time to time elect to make repairs to existing sidewalk or construct new sidewalks, however the property owner is still responsible for the maintenance.
