Per City of Springfield Ordinance Section #16-302, the adjacent property owner of a lot or lots is responsible for maintenance and/or replacement of the sidewalk. The City of Springfield may from time to time elect to make repairs to existing sidewalk or construct new sidewalks, however the property owner is still responsible for the maintenance.Public Works
