SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – The Legacy Golf Course was just named the state of Tennessee’s second-best public golf course by Golf Advisor.
The list is compiled each year by submitted ratings and reviews from golfers. Courses must offer public access and have received at least one review in 2019 to be eligible. The Legacy Golf Course received nearly 200 reviews rating the value, layout and friendliness highest among the categories. The majority of the reviewers, 98.6 %, would recommend this course.
The Legacy Golf Course opened in 1996. It was designed by PGA hall of Fame player Raymond Floyd. The 6,775-yard course is spread through rolling hills and woodlands offering scenic views. The golf course is owned by the City of Springfield and managed by Cornerstone Golf Partners.
