COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Springfield Electric knows that supporting our community is vital for its continued growth and success. We do our best to develop relationships with Springfield’s local schools and participate in a wide variety of community outreach events in a concentrated effort to be involved.
4-H Electric Camp
Springfield Electric sponsors a group of students every year to participate in the 4-H electric camp held in Knoxville, Tennessee each summer. There is a different camp theme pertaining to electricity each year, and students get hands-on experience for all things related to energy. Approximately 300 students attend from all over the state each year.
For more information about youth programs like 4-H electric camp, call your local University of Tennessee extension office at (615) 384-7936 or visit the Robertson County Extension Office website.
Read Across America
The National Education Association created Read Across America in an effort to encourage students of all ages to read more often. During the month of March, some of our Springfield Electric employees are invited to read to students at the Bransford Youth and Community Center and Westside Elementary. Our employees always enjoy getting the opportunity to visit classrooms across the city and read to our amazing students.
If you would like someone from Springfield Electric to participate in your school’s event, please email a request.
