NOW HIRING
The Springfield-Robertson County Airport, a general aviation facility, is seeking to hire an Airport Manager.  A Bachelor’s degree in Airport Management or Business Administration is preferred.  Five (5) years of experience working in an airport related industry or equivalent education and experience will be considered.  Salary range is $50,000 to $75,000 depending on qualifications and experience.  The position reports to a seven (7) member Joint Airport Board.

Configuration & Design


The Springfield/Robertson County Airport has a runway that is 5,506 feet long and 100 feet wide, with parallel taxiways. The airport is a part of the Federal Airway System and has instrument approaches, including: 
  • A GPS approach and a localizer approach
  • A ground communications outlet
  • Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS)
  • LED approach lighting
  • Pilot briefing available
Additional land has been acquired for the future extension of the runway and to protect the facility from incompatible land use. The facility has 42 T-hangars, 4 Large T-hangars, and 3 corporate hangars. Transient parking and tie-downs are available.

Management


The Springfield/Robertson County Airport is managed by an airport manager and staff under the direction of the Springfield/Robertson County Joint Airport Board. The board contracts with aviation companies to provide essential services such as maintenance and flight training.

Fuel


The Springfield/Robertson County Airport provides self-service and full service 100LL and Jet A+ fuel. 


Maintenance


Wingnuts Aviation, LLC and Darkhorse Aviation Maintenance are the contracted providers of maintenance for the Springfield/Robertson County Airport.
