Meet Ethan Black

Ethan Black

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – This story is sure to make #SpringfieldTNSmile 😊

Meet Ethan Black, a 5th-grade student at Coopertown Middle School Ethan recently visited Springfield City Hall to drop off a special treat for our lobby.

Thanks to him, visitors to city hall can now purchase gum for 25¢ while supporting Laundry Love - Springfield, TN a local non-profit that helps people who are struggling financially by assisting them with doing their laundry. Volunteers meet every third Friday from 8 AM to 11 PM at Sisters’ Coin Laundry. 🧼🧺

It was after Ethan participated in a 4H service project where students collected quarters for Laundry Love that he felt compelled to do more. With his own money, he purchased gumball machines and gumballs and placed them in locations around our city.

We are happy to have met Ethan and thankful he chose our location as one of his collection sites.

Do you have a story that is sure to make Springfield, TN smile? 🙂 Do you know someone making our community a better place to live? Do you have a positive story about what’s happening in our city?

If so, send your ideas to info@springfield-tn.org.
